The women’s World 10-Ball Championship has finally been sanctioned by the World Pool & Billiards Association (WPBA).  The organisers have also moved the date to ensure the tournament goes ahead.

Dragon Promotions have recently announced that the anticipated tournament will take place on June 1 to 6 – The original date coincide with the Philippine Open, which I organised by the Billiards & Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP).  The clash of the tournaments is the reason why the WPA previously refused the earlier application.

‘We are aware that the dates of this event will clash with an event we have already sanctioned – the Philippine Open.  It is unfortunate that Dragon Promotions chose dates that were already reserved and announced’ confirmed the WPA.

Dragon Promotions are hosting the Women’s event which will see 48 female cueists worldwide who will compete for the top prize of $20,000.
