Souquet, from Germany lost to Alcano in the World 9-Ball Championships in Manila in 2006, however this year he played with integrity by beating the Filipino 13-9. The new 8-Ball champion took the top prize of $60,000 and Alcano had to settle for the runner-up prize of just $20,000.

‘For me, Ronnie is the greatest 8-Ball player in the world.’
Ronnie returned home to the Philipinnes on Saturday. He may have returned runner up this year, but is still appreciated as one of the most skilled and impressive billiard players in the world. Ronnie is still regarded as the 2006 World 9-Ball Champion ant the 2007 World 8-Ball Champion.
