Four More For 10-Ball

There are still four places available for the World 10-ball tournament this September.
The slots are to fill the match sheet at the 3rd billiards and Snooker Congress of the phillipines (BSCP) national Pool Championship.
The elimination rounds will take place at the Star Billiards Center in Quezon City, whilst the finals will be played from August 26-31 at the Rizal Memorial Stadiium in Malate- Manila.
Since displaying class performances in the Phillipine Tour pool legs (held in Mandaluyang and Puerto Princesa)- Antonio Gabica and Wu Chia-Ching have secured their places at the inaugural World 10-ball tournament.
The semi-final entrants are Marlon Manalo (2005 World Pool Championship 3rd place), Jeffrey de Luna (2007 Manila Pacquiao International 9-ball champion), and Jericho Bagnares (Phillipine Junior champion). All players are hoping to claim the P400,000 prize money which will be shared amongst the top 32 players.
The event is open to Filipino players only and there is a notable list of top pool stars such as, Leonardo Andam, Fidel Punzalan, Leonardo Didal, Edgar Acaba, Mario Tolentino, Elvis Casalang, Luis Saberdo, James Al Ortega, Alex Nobleza, Raymond Faraon and 14 yr old Jonas Magpantay.
Alex Pagulayan was the first winner of this tournament in 2006, followed by Lee Van Corteza the following year.
