Young Pool Star To Represent England

A 16 Year old British pool player has recently qualified for the Junior World 8-Ball Championships. Upcoming pool star, Josh Corkett from Bridgwater earned his place in the pool championships when he out-played the other competitors at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool. He first qualified by competing at Riley’s Snooker Club in Taunton where he plays regularly. He is one of only four English pool players to qualify in the upcoming tournament. Josh will join 63 other pool stars from all over the world as they compete for the Junior Individual Title. The event begins on June 30th and the semi-finals will take place on July 4th. At the moment Josh is a student at Bridgwater College and as already gained valuable experience as the Somerset Youth Champion and regularly competes in various pool tournaments. The apprentice joiner is currently seeking a sponsorship deal to enable him to participate and travel to more tournaments across the UK. The main World 8-Ball Championships will be broadcasted live on Sky from June 29th to July 10th.
