Ronnie O’ Sullivan has hit the headlines again for asking the Chinese to ‘Suck his di*k’ after his loss against Marco Fu at the Honghe Industrial 2008 world Snooker China Open on Wednesday night. The Rocket was clearly not over the moon after his 5-4 loss to Fu, and his lack of courtesy was apparent at the snooker press conference following the match.

It was apparent that Ronnie wasn’t in the mood for the press conference because he was caught on camera asking the official, ‘F**k me, how many more questions are they going to ask?’ Following this, he continued to speak as the translator repeated his inappropriate comments to the Chinese people. Whilst being filmed, O’Sullivan appeared restless and pointed directly to his genitals and asked, ‘Do you want to suck that? Do you want to come and suck on that later?’ Whether or not Ronnie was joking, he still continued with obscene questions…

‘Anyone wants to give me a nosh? Suck my di*k.’

At present, The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association are reviewing the situation. Sir Rodney Walker, who is the Chairman of the WPBSA commented earlier,

‘In my opinion, Ronnie O’ Sullivan’s behaviour was unacceptable. The matter has been referred to the WPBSA Disciplinary Committee and is under review.’

Sir Rodney continued… ‘On behalf of World Snooker, I have apologised in person today to the promoter of the Honghe Industrial 2008 World Snooker China Open. I would like to send my apologies to the people of China for any offence that may have been caused. While the matter is under review, I hope that we can enjoy the rest of what has been an outstanding tournament.’

This is not the first time the former 2001 and 2004 World Champion has been reviewed for unacceptable behaviour. In December 2006, he walked out of his match against Stephen Hendry at the UK Championship in York when he was 4-1 down. For walking out, Ronnie was fined £21,000. Also in 1996 Ronnie was reported for assaulting a tournament official and in 1998 he was stripped of his Irish Masters after failing a drugs test.

Once more the 32 yr old from Chigwell could be facing a hefty fine for his indecent words on Wednesday. Ronnie is a crowd favourite in China and only last year, he signed a six figure advertising deal with a Chinese watch company. For now, Ronnie awaits his discipline from the WPBSA and for him, that’s what sucks!
