Habib Wins in Kolkata
Rafath Habib took the title for the ONGC – Spring Club National 9-Ball Pool Championship in Kolkata on Monday.
Habib is already the Asian Games Gold Medallist in snooker and has proven that he is multi-skilled in more than one cue sport. He displayed excellent potting skills in the final as he out-played Sumeet Talwar of Chandigarh 11-5.
Habib was on prime form throughout the game and at one point; he took a soaring lead of 10-1. Talwar produced some good shots during the second half of the game and attempted a comeback with a score of 5-10. Ultimately, it was Habib who took the rest of the game into his own skilled hands and claimed the win to become the Spring Club 2008 9-Ball Champion.
