9-Ball Filipino Final

Last week, the final of the US 9-Ball saw two Filipino players battle it out on the baize for the championship.

Nonoy Quinones beat opponent Jaynard Orque 5-1 in the 2008 United States Pool Players Association (USPPA) 9-Ball Championships at the San Regency Hotel in Reno, Nevada.

Susantha Takes The 9-Ball Title

Susantha Boteju defeated A.C.M Zaheer of MSC earlier this week to win the 9-Ball Championships.

The national snooker champion won Zaheer ten frames to eight in a 19 frame final, held at the billiards headquarters table at Race Course, Reid Avenue.

Sir Rodney Walker is Re-elected in the WPBSA

Sir Rodney Walker has been re-elected as the Chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.  The decision was made earlier this week at the sports annual meeting in Sheffield UK.

Snooker’s voting players supported Sir Rodney even though it was due for him to retire.

Rodolfo ‘Boy Samson’ Luat successfully defeated opponent Ramil Gallego 13-10 to be crowned champion at the First Senate President Manny Villar Cup Bacolod leg last Sunday night at the Garden Royal Function hall in Bacolod City.
