Pankaj Advani has successfully become the first player to have won the Asian Billiards Championship for the third time. The Indian superstar defeated Singapore’s Peter Gilchrist 5-3 in the final of the Rewale Group Asian Billiards final this past Sunday.

Snooker professional Peter Ebdon has just escalated up the world snooker rankings to 12th place after winning the Bank of Beijing 2009 World Snooker China Open.
The victory has notched up the Wellingborough-based cue artist his eighth world ranking title after defeating fellow finalist John Higgins 10-8 in Beijing.

Wu Chia Ching is planning on a Singapore citizenship and if he’s successful he could prevent Malaysia from winning a gold medal in this year’s Laos Sea Games.
Chia Ching left Taiwan last month. Apparently he was not satisfied with his salary and moved to the Island Republic. It is very likely that he will be granted citizenship soon.

Welsh snooker ace Dominic Dale has recently confessed that his move to Vienna has affected his career.
Dale moved to the Austrian capital in 2007 after winning his second ranked title of his career at the Roewe Shanghai Masters. Since his departure from Britain, he has plummeted 13 places in the snooker rankings.
