Emerging snooker star Judd Trump is confident that he will continue his recent form and show no fear at the Bahrain Snooker Championship, which begins this Saturday.

The 19 yr old prodigy from Bristol recently enjoyed his best run so far in his snooker career at the Royal London Watches Grand Prix when he reached the semi-finals, beating world number one, Ronnie O’ Sullivan before losing to eventual winner John Higgins.

The talented youngster has re-enforced that he is more than capable of competing to the standards of the top professionals – he recently defeated two-time world champion Mark Williams 5-2 in the qualifying round of Bahrain’s first ever ranking event, and now heads to the championships, which runs from November 8th to 15th in Manama.

‘I don’t fear anyone at the moment,’ said Trump.  ‘I’m playing well, and I know that if I take that form into any match then I’m capable of winning.’

The left handed potter is the youngest star to make a 147 at the age of 14.

‘I’ve won seven out of seven matches in the qualifiers at Prestatyn this season, and I’ve made it to four venues, which is all great experience for me.  I’m starting to get used to playing at the venues and in front of TV cameras, and to show some of the form I’ve found in the qualifiers.’

Trump will play Ireland’s Mark Allen in his opening match on Tuesday and is hoping to impress the fans in the Middle-East.  Trump said of his upcoming match, ‘Mark plays a similar sort of attacking game to me so it should be a good match.  I’ve already been to Shanghai this season and now it’s Bahrain; it’s exciting to go round the world to play snooker in different venues.’

Some of the top snooker stars will be competing for the title in Manama – these include, Stephen Hendry, Stephen Maguire, Shaun Murphy, and Ken Doherty, to name a few.

Tickets can be bought online at www.boxofficeme.com.  Those who wish to pay on the day - tickets can be purchased from Hall two at the venue – The Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Manama, with prices starting at just 3 Bahrain Dinars.
