Philippines Super Team

The Philippines top cue artists are to merge to re-enforce the fact that they are the ultimate Billiards country.

Legendary players such as Alex Pagulayan, Efran ‘Bata’ Reyes, Ronnie Alcano, Dennis Orcollo, Francisco Bustamante, and Roberto Gomez are all part of a super team.  Joining the elite are fellow Filipino’s Warren Kiamco, and Lee Van Cortez, who are the other links to form team Quezon City – Philippines.

Team Philippines will compete against Team World.  Team World is made up of skilled cues men who include world cup of pool winner Rodney Morris, Charlie Williams of the US, and Jianbo Fu of China.  They will be accompanied by new Guinness 9-Ball champion Ching Shun Yang also of Chinese Taipei.

Both teams will play for a top prize fund of $40,000 at the Q.C. Invasion.  Quezon City – Philippines V’s The World Grand Billiards Showdown, which is to begin on December 2nd -4th at the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City.

The teams will play singles, doubles, and team events, which will be organised after the Mosconi Cup – an annual tournament between the US’s best players and the crème of Europe.
