Pakistan is hoping to compete in the forthcoming IBSF World Snooker Championships, however, with a delay from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) some players may be unable to compete.

The International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) has recently welcomed countries to participate in the ladies, men’s and masters events of the World Snooker Championship, which is to be held from October 27 to November 8.

The PBSA are hoping to enlist some of their most talented players, such as Saleh Mohammad and Khurram Hussein Agha, but with a delay from the PSB in clearing the applications could mean that the respected players may not be able to enter the competition.

A PBSA spokesman announced that the visa applications could not be submitted to the Austrian Embassy and that Pakistan may have to miss out on the championships.

Players from Pakistan have competed in the World Snooker Championships every year since the PBSA was revived in 1988. They have also had the success of winning the championships four times.

The PBSA and PSB need to work on their association and reject any current rivalry, or the future of the Pakistan players futures could remain in jeopardy.
