The BSCP are Going For Gold

The Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP) believe that their team of players will dominate the 25th South East Asian (SEA) Games in Laos this December.

The President of the BSCP, Arturo Ilagan predicts that the Filipino team will collect numerous gold medals at the forthcoming games.

WPBA Finds New Host in Borderline Billiards

The Woman’s Professional Billiards Association has recently announced that Borderline Billiards will be the new host for their first tour on July 10-12.

The WPBA Satellite Tour consists of numerous tournaments, which allows the opportunity for female players to compete against WPBA professionals outside the classic tour events.

World Snooker is delighted to announce that the Teenage Cancer Trust has become one of its official charities.

The Teenage Cancer Trust are responsible for building specialist units in NHS hospitals where teenage cancer patients can be treated with those of similar age to give them a more positive environment.

Top Teams Back Out Of Asian Championships

Security concerns have been the cause of disruption in the upcoming Asian Billiards and Asian Under 21 Snooker Championships.

Pakistan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Iraq have taken themselves out of the tournament due to be held at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana from April 11-19.

China Open Attracts Top Players

The 2009 World Snooker China Open will commence this week – March 30 – April 5.  The event is held at the Beijing University Students gymnasium in China.

The tournament was previously known as the Honghe Industrial China Open, and the last ranking tournament before the World Championships, held in Sheffield UK.
